Hanna Wilk is the company's controller. A house comes with a second set of drawings that nobody frames: what the job was budgeted at, what the trades and suppliers have invoiced, what has been paid and what has not. Keeping that record exact — and keeping the trades and suppliers paid — is what a controller does at a builder this size.
Most buyers never meet the controller. When a plan changes, the paperwork has to change with it: written down once, correctly, and still findable months later. In a semi-custom company, where changing the structure is the whole offer, there is a great deal of that to keep straight.
That has been the job here for the better part of a decade. Sam Rodgers Homes has been family-owned since 1968, and people here tend to stay.
